The Lockhart Tavern - Haywards Heath, The Broadway
In May 2016, GMB were engaged to carry out the conversion of an existing pub on the Broadway, Hayward Heath to a new pub and restaurant with an office suite above. Whilst stripping out the existing building it soon became apparent that major structural repairs would be required to the existing building. Also, part of the brief was to build a new rear extension- consisting of beer cellar and toilet block. Planning permission for this extension was only granted in August 2016 leaving the project team a very tight deadline to be met for the planned opening date at the end of October 2016.
